President's Message

Fellow Insurance Communicators,

I had the pleasure of joining many of you at IMCA’s inaugural Creative Forum in February and am pleased to report that the event was a major success in providing the resources and networking opportunities for our creative teams.  This will move to the East Coast in 2011 and we hope you, your creative group, and/or your agency representatives will make this a must-attend event in the future.  A synopsis with video summaries from the speakers is now available at
www.IMCAnet.com.

We have a great slate of speakers lined up for IMCA’s Annual Meeting on June 27-30, 2010 and hope you will be joining us this year in Atlanta. We will be welcoming Michael Zuna of AFLAC, Jon Picoult of Watermark Consulting, and Patrick Kuhse of Speaking of Ethics as our keynote speakers.  We’ll also feature Social Media experts, Michelle Bernhard and Stacey DeBroff, as well as an executive panel discussion on global insurance.  Our ever-popular breakout sessions will focus on Creativity by Adobe, Branding by Real Results Marketing, and PR on the Net by Shel Holtz.

Given the current economic conditions and the potential for sudden market swings within the coming year in the P&C, Life & Health markets, IMCA’s Annual Meeting planners have pulled together a robust agenda that is arguably, the best networking and educational value to help insurance communicators prepare.  And given the diverse nature of our membership, we all benefit from the open exchange of ideas and information from each of our market segments.

I hope that the 2010 IMCA Annual Meeting will prove to be an informative, productive, and valuable experience for you and your team, and look forward to seeing you in Atlanta.
